Meet Troop 318

Meetings

Our Scouts hold meetings every Thursday evening during the school year, typically at the Orland Junior High at 7:30 p.m. Our Scouts set the agenda for each meeting with topics that range from teaching scout skills (knot tying, first aid, cold weather camping, and more), merit badge requirements, to games with purpose.

Service
Troop 318 provides service opportunities for all Scouts through working with the VFW and other veterans' groups, cooking for the shelter residents, and the Adopt-A-Highway program.
Camping

Troop 318 camps on average once per month, and twice a year, the boy and girl troops have separate campouts. We attend summer camp each July for a week at Ransburg Scout Reservation - an awesome time to earn a bunch of merit badges and do cool stuff we wouldn't normally have access to. The camp offers everything from Horsemanship to Small Boat Sailing, Welding to Insect Study, First Aid to Swimming, Archery to ATVs. Scouts BSA offers over 135 merit badges, and this summer camp has most of them!
